NQT Recruitment
Manchester LA provides an online only application system for those teachers wishing to apply for employment in central Manchester schools and applications are welcomed from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) who are required to complete induction, or those teachers who have not yet completed induction.
To apply, you will need to register using the link at the bottom of this page and complete theonline application.
Once submitted, applications are immediately made available to all Headteachers in central Manchester who are looking to recruit NQT's and they (not the local authority) will shortlist and invite to interview at the school suitable candidates subject to their requirements.
There is no longer a deadline for applications as the Talent Pool will remain open all-year-round and although the bulk of NQT recruitment will take place for September, schools will look to recruit NQT's throughout the year usually at the beginning of each term.
PLEASE NOTE - Should you secure employment within Manchester or another Local Authority please remember to withdraw your application from the pool.
Teachers trained outside of England & Wales will need to contact the General Teaching Council (GTC) on 0370 001 0308 to find out if they are eligible/required to do Induction. For information on becoming a teacher in England please visit the government Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) at www.tda.gov.uk where you will find information on the progammes/support available for overseas teachers.
